Those who expect a video conversion tool to do something more than just re-encode video tracks between formats, will find Any Video Converter Professional to be a versatile and flexible video and audio converter, a CD ripper, a DVD authoring and burning tool, a video downloader, and many other different tools all wrapped up in an attractive and intuitive interface.

Files can be added to the conversion list in various ways – you can browse your drives looking for source files, you can drag and drop them onto the program’s main interface, or you can download your favorite tracks from any of the most widely used online video sites. Audio files can also be added to the list by ripping the tracks on your audio CDs. You can then tell the program to re-encode the files on the list into a new video format, extract their audio streams and save them using your preferred audio codec, burn them to DVD (complete with menu and full navigation, if so desired), or simply play them back using the program’s splendid video player.

The only way of making the long list of the supported output formats manageable is by grouping them into recognizable categories. Any Video Converter Professional offers you a neatly-organized panel of output profiles, where all options are clearly identified by device, brand, format, media type, etc. All of these profiles support a certain level of customization to make sure that the resulting files fit all your personal preferences or those specific requirements of your favorite device.

As expected, AVC Pro comes with a set of editing features that will allow you to correct basic lighting mistakes, rotate and flip your videos, crop and clip them easily, and personalize them with text or image watermarks to protect your rights.

Without dwelling too much on it, I have to mention what I consider to be the program’s only flaw – that all the files on the conversion list are re-encoded into the one output format (or profile) selected. That is an okay approach for free conversion tools, but I would expect a “Professional” tool to take the batch conversion concept to the next level and allow users to convert a large number of video files each into the format and with the quality settings of their choice.

Having said that, Any Video Converter Professional is a very serious option to consider when in need of a versatile media converter. It supports an extensive list of formats and codecs (both for the input and the output) and comes with a plethora of extra features that add real value to its already impressive functionality.
